  • Be in Great Hall (Marvin Center) by 11:30am with a lunch SHARP!!
  • Bus will leave without you at NOON!

  • 12:00PM SWAMP TOUR
  • 3:00 Depart for GWU

ARRIVE GWU Sunday January 10 2009

  • Heavy Sleeping Bag and Pillow
  • Jacket and Cold Weather Clothing
  • Umbrella/Rain Parka
  • Camera, Battery, Charger
  • Work Shoes (closed toed, durable!, boots suggested)
  • Non-Work Shoe or Flips
  • Cell Phone Charger
  • Bug Repellent and Sunscreen
  • Towels, Shower Shoes, Toiletries, Hygiene Products
  • Work Gloves
  • DVDs for the Drive
  • Cards, Books, Board Games to Use and/or Leave Behind </li>

    Volunteers will be Staying at Camp Hope 3 in Arabi, LA (just outside of the city).Camp Hope is a home for short and long term volunteers in New Orleans. The camp has existed in two gutted schools in nearby Violet, LA (W. Smith Junior Elementary School and Beauregard Middle School) that are in the process of being CONVERTED BACK TO SCHOOLS in encouraging signs of recovery.
